  Kotoba ist ein wirklich hervorragendes Programm für jeden, der Japanisch lernt, und schon ein wenig fortgeschritten ist. Zumindest die Kenntnis von Hiragana sollten vorhanden sein, um das Prog. sinnvoll nutzen zu können, es geht aber auch mit Einschränkunen ohne.Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Apps braucht man bei Kotoba nicht Online zu sein, was besonders dann praktisch ist, wenn man in der Mittagspause oder unterwegs z.B. in der Bahn oder im Flugzeug ein wenig lernen möchte. Die Wörter oder Sätze können sowohl in Romaji als auch in Hiragana (hierzu japanische Tastatur im ipod / iPhone unter "Einstellungen" aktivieren) eingegeben werden. Fazit: Dieses App wäre mir einige Euro wert, doch stattdessen ist das ganze auch noch Umsonst = ein absolutes Top-Programm.

  its really the best dictonary . so clear structuered, fast,nice looking, and of course offline!!! every dict should be like this ^_^

  It was hard to find a dictionary that meets all criteria: Easy to use, fast, no need for a internet connection and German support. Kotoba! is the first so far. Though there is one thing which makes it only 4 stars. The main screen is little stuffed. There is no need for the navigator bar at top and tab bar at bottom. This takes away precious screen estate. Beside that it is a really great app. many thanks
