  This dictionary has a quite impressive vocabulary, but all the Chinese keywords and all the Chinese translations come without pinyin. The description of Modern English-Chinese Chinese-English Talking Dictionary powered by FLTRP says "...all headwords...with pinyin..." BUT THERE IS NO PINYIN! Meanwhile I found out that just a very limited number of English keywords can be addressed. Try to find words like "Ireland" - you'll only find "ire". What shall one do with a dictionary without useable content???? Other disadvantages: it is not possible to use a word or character in the translations as new keyword. Not by tapping on it, not by selecting and copying. If one finds a Chinese character or word and looks it up as keyword the pronunciation is neither given in pinyin nor as spoken word. Quite useless for a learner like me! These steps are necessary to find out how a Hanzi is promounced: - search Chinese character in C-E - one sees keyword and translations (only the English words in this section are pronounced) - choose one of the English words - search the English keyword in E-C - if (!) the English keyword is found look through the translations of that keyword and hope to find the correct Hanzi - now press the loudspeaker - all Chinese characters are pronounced in a row - if one is lucky one understands the pronunciation of the primarily searched character otherwise bad luck. The search for a Chinese word eg 'helicopter' is partly useless. Okay, the Chinese translation is found from E-C. One gets a four-character translation without pinyin. Just the spoken word. And no way to copy the four hanzi to look them up in the C-E part. Or a explanation of meanings of each character. The direction C-E is time consuming. BACK TO START. Don't get any money! Absolutely not recommendable for learners! PS: The lack of pinyin is visible on the screenshots in the app store. But in the description it is clearly said that pinyin exists. PPS: There are several other dictionaries in the app store with pinyin, quick searches from a translation by tapping and unlimited use of vocabulary.
