  As a long time user of PI (Windows Mobile, BB), I couldn't wait to have this version on the IPad. My expectations were high based on screenshots and I am really impressed. I think this one of the few apps that turn the IPad from a toy into a Productivity tool.

  I have been waiting a lot of time for Pocket Informant to come to the iPad. For those of you that don't know, Pocket Informant was the best PIM app for Windows Mobile (and still is), offering a really premium experience to all those of us who have a busy life and need a tool to organize it. PI for iPad isn't of course up to the level of maturity of the Windows Mobile app, but it is a great start. It offers a great calendar with really nice views, task management of really the highest quality possible and also looks great! PI syncs with Google Calendar and Toodledo, since Apple still doesn't allow direct calendar access to the internal calendar database. This is going to change when iOS 4 comes to the iPad (PI must be updated to take advantage of that). Overall I absolutely recommend Pocket Informant, even if it crashed on me a couple of times. I am sure that we are going to be seeing frequent updates that will resolve any issues.
